The new season begins after a break of 83 days and marks the return of the best, or rather the highest quality, club football in the world, after the summer break, during which many clubs were involved in preparatory matches and seasonal tournaments. All this allows players and fans to be ready to meet all the challenges that will stand in their way in the final round.
Starting this season, there will be several innovations in the functioning of the league itself. What was started at the end of last season, namely the semi-automatic offside technology, will be implemented at the start of this season and will be used throughout the season as it has proven to be a great move and a great help to the referees.
Puma is the new official ball brand and will thus replace Nike, who have been the Premier League's partner for the past 25 years.
The focus is also on the potential introduction of referee cameras (Ref-Cams) - a technology that was tested at the Club World Cup and is currently being considered for limited trials in the Premier League.
As for the teams themselves and the fight for the title and survival, it will be very interesting as always. Leeds United, Burnley and Sunderland are back in the top flight.
The biggest favourites to win the title are Liverpool and Arsenal, judging by the odds. As always, Manchester City will be lurking, then Chelsea, and after the worst season in history, Manchester United is expected to rise, as well as Tottenham. There are also Aston Villa, Newcastle... it will be very interesting to see who will win the title this season. The teams were very valuable during the summer break and spent massively, a total of just over 2 billion pounds was allocated for reinforcements. The most expensive paid was Florian Wirtz, who brought his former club Bayer Leverkusen a little over 100 million pounds with his transfer to Liverpool. Jeremy Frimpong also went in the same direction, and Liverpool strengthened the defense with the great left-back, Milos Kerquez, who arrived from Bournemouth, as well as the attack because Ekitike came from Frankfurt. Arsenal also strengthened the team brilliantly. The best striker in Europe for last season, Victor Diogore from Sporting, arrived for around 60 million pounds, then Martin Zubimendi for around 5 million less from Real Sociedad, as well as Madueke and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. Manchester United have strengthened their squad with Cunha, Mbuema and Cesc, so the “devils” fans are right to expect a much better position than last season. Chelsea have brought in young players and are building a strong base for the coming years. Joao Pedro, Gittens, Estevao, Liam Delap and a few others have arrived. Manchester City have bought Reynders, Cherki and Ait-Nouri as key reinforcements.
As in the last season, Odds Kings will publish a press release before each round with some betting tips, and our suggestions for this first round are as follows.
