This extraordinary round I was not effective, the results 1:0 and 2:0 dominated. The minimal victories in this round were achieved by Girona as a guest, now already a member of La Liga 2, Valladolid. Celta Vigo, also as a guest, with a victory over Real Sociedad, then Sevilla at home in a victory over Las Palmas, as well as Alaves in a victory over Valencia. At home, Osasuna was better than Atletico Madrid with 2:0, and the match between Getafe and Athletic Bilbao ended with the same result, as did the Espanyol-Barcelona city derby, which brought the new champion of Spain, and the home team ended the match with one less player. The most convincing in this round was Villarreal, who defeated Leganes at home, and all three goals were seen in the first part of the game. Real only managed to win against Mallorca in stoppage time on their own field, after a reversal, the only draw was seen in the fight for Europe, between Rayo Vallecano and Betis. This match ended with a score of 2:2, although the home team led 2:0 at halftime.
Two rounds before the end, Barcelona secured a new title. Betis will try to reach the fifth place that leads to the Champions League, but it will be very difficult as Roma Villarreal are without five points. A fierce battle for place number eight, which leads to the qualification for the League Conference, is led by Rayo Vallecano (48 points), Osasuna (48), Mallorca (47), and Valencia with 45 points. Leganes or Alaves will join Las Palmas and Valladolid as teams to be relegated, with Leganes close behind who trail Alaves by four points.
