After a not-so-successful season, the black and whites will begin their campaign for the ABA League finals tonight. Partizan finished the regular season in second place, so they faced Spartak from Subotica in the quarterfinals. Partizan won both games in their favor, and now they face Dubai. The team from the UAE will play for the ABA League finals in their debut season. They defeated Cedevita in the quarterfinals in three games and will now try to reach the finals through Partizan. The Belgrade team enters this match as a favorite, and tonight at 7 p.m. in the Arena they will be able to confirm that they are truly ready to win the title. Both teams will play in the Euroleague next season, unofficially, but the Euroleague leaders are getting closer to that decision. In the regular season, Partizan was convincing at home (82:61), while Dubai returned to the game and won 80:72 on their home field. Considering the experience of the black and whites in this competition, and the trophies won, they are deserved favorites and are expected to reach the final and fight for the trophy.

Probably a much more interesting match awaits us tonight at 9 pm in Morača. Buducnost Podgorica will welcome Crvena zvezda (Belgrade). Buducnost has made a breakthrough this season and played a great regular season and deservedly reached the first place before the playoffs. They are particularly successful at home, where they have not lost since early December last year, but Red Star inflicted one of the two defeats they have suffered at home this season in the ABA League on the Podgorica team. As for European competitions, Buducnost somehow made it through the group stage, but could not face Turk Telekom in the playoffs, while Red Star played brilliantly in the Euroleague, but stopped in the playoffs, losing to Bayern Munich. The toll of participating in the Euroleague for Red Star is visible this season, as they finished only in fourth place in the ABA League standings and will not have home field advantage in this semi-final, nor in the final if they reach it. Buducnost defeated Red Star Belgrade in overtime, and in the quarter-finals they were better than Mega with a score of 2:0, while Red Star also defeated Igokea in two games. The favorite in this duel will be Buducnost, but we should expect a very close and uncertain duel.
