Fenerbahce and Zalgiris are the first to take the field at 19:45. Fenerbahce, the defending champion in the Euroleague, managed to secure the advantage of the home ground, because it finished fourth in the table, and that will mean a lot to them in these matches with the Lithuanian representative. The Turkish side have four straight wins in all competitions, but have generally dropped in form over the last couple of months, and now need three wins against pesky Zalgiris, who they've lost to both times this season. Fener doesn't have an enviable score even on their home ground lately, and they played 17 times with Zalgiris in Turkey and won 12 duels. Even though they are the favorites to advance to the Final Four, they will have a tough job ahead of them, and a lot will depend on the outcome of this first match. Zalgiris is in a series of six consecutive victories in all competitions, and seven in a row on away courts. They beat Fenerbahçe in Istanbul this season by 10 points, and it wouldn't be a surprise if they repeat a similar success tonight. The Lithuanian team, led by the great Francisco, has a great chance to eliminate the favored rival after three wins, and find themselves in the Final Four. One break from Turkey would mean a lot, because visiting Lithuania is one of the toughest in the Euroleague. The second match will be played in Turkey on Thursday, and then the third match will be played in Lithuania on May 6. The eventual fourth match will be in Lithuania, the date will be determined later, as well as the eventual fifth, which would be played in Turkey.

The first ranked team in the table, the Greek Olympiakos, will have the home field advantage in the match against Monaco. The team from Piraeus is the absolute favorite to win tonight, from 20:00, and to be in the Final Four. Their best player, Sasa Vezenkov, was named MVP of the regular season. We don't need to spend too much time talking about coach Barcokas' team. They are a great team, which rarely makes mistakes, and punishes every mistake of the rivals. They currently have eight consecutive victories in all competitions, as well as at home. It is interesting that they lost both times against Monaco this season, so that is the reason why they want to record the first triumph in this series. Monaco had to play a play-in game in which they were first defeated by Panathinaikos, but in a make-up duel on their home field they defeated Barcelona and thus became the last participant in the playoffs. The French had a lot of problems, primarily financial, this season, and it would be a real miracle if they could somehow eliminate Olympiakos and find themselves in the Final Four. However, Monaco has as many as five consecutive victories over Olympiakos, which means that they know how to beat the Greek team, and they have as many as four consecutive victories in Athens. After this duel, the second match will be played on Thursday, and the third on May 5 in France, while the eventual fourth match will be played in France as well, and the date and time of the match will be announced later, and the same applies to the eventual fifth match, i.e. the master's match that would be played in Athens.

From 20:45, great Valencia welcomes Panathinaikos in the first match of the Playoff. Valencia, after a great season in the Eurocup last year, shined in the Euroleague this season, especially showing great games at home. They deservedly finished second in the table, but it is interesting that bookmakers give the Greek team more chances to advance to the Final Four. This season, the Spaniards have triumphed over the "Greens" both times, and they will be the favorites to win tonight. Out of the seven matches played in Spain, PAO won twice. PAO played somewhat weaker this season, and had to reach the Playoffs after one match in Playin. They had the home field advantage, and beat Monaco, and thus deservedly reached the sixth place and the match against Valencia. The Greeks did not excel this season like some previous ones, but the goal was met. The next place is the Final Four, but that task will be too difficult, considering that they do not have the advantage of the home field. The second match will also be played in Spain, on Thursday, while the third will be scheduled for May 6 in Athens. The possible date and time of the fourth match, which would be played in Greece, will be announced later, as well as the eventual master's match, which would be played in Valencia.

The first match of the Playoff series between Real Madrid and Hapoel Tel Aviv awaits us tomorrow at 20:45 in Madrid. Real is playing great this season, especially lately, and will be the favorite both to win this first match and to advance to the Final Four. This season, they recorded only two defeats in Madrid, which speaks volumes about how they play in front of their audience, and in this series they have the home field advantage. This year they defeated the Israelis both times, and they are serious candidates to win a new European title champion. As for Hapoel, during the first part of the season they were by far the leading team in the table. Then came a drop in form, and they even feared for a place in the Playoffs, but they gathered themselves towards the end of the regular season and managed to reach the sixth place in the table, which earned them matches with Real. The goal of reaching the Playoffs has been fulfilled, but their next goal, which will be going to the Final Four, will be extremely difficult to achieve, both because Real is a better team and because they do not have the advantage of their home field. The second match will be played on Friday, while the third will be played on May 5. For the eventual fourth match, which would be played in Israel, the time and date of the match will be known later, as well as for the eventual master's match, which would be played in Madrid.
